John Bonsett-Veal, O.D.
Dr. Bonsett-Veal received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from the Indiana University in 1975 and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1980 from the Indiana University School of Optometry. He has taken extensive courses in Excimer Laser Technology and Techniques at Northeastern State University College of Optometry. He is certified to use Diagnostic and Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents for Examination and Foreign Body Removal from the eye. In 1999 Dr. Bonsett-Veal received the Wisconsin Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year Award. He is also a member of the Americian Optometric Association and he is currently serving as President of the Wisconsin Optometric Association. Dr. Bonsett-Veal’s special clinical skills include:
Fitting gas permeable and soft contact lenses
Fitting specialty toric and bifocal contact lenses
Pediatric eye care
Treatment of diseases of the eye
Foreign body removal from the eyes and eyelids
Cataract surgery co-management
Refractive surgery co-management
Photorefractive Keratectomy
Dr. Bonsett-Veal has been a past member of the Lions Club and present member of the Downtown Madison Rotary Club. His areas of personal interest are his Family, Church, Theater, Motorcycling, Photography, International Studies and Woodworking.

Dawn Janisch
Dawn is our newest staff member(A previous patient herself.) She is our lead technician that will assist you through all of our eye health screening tests. She will help you meet your eye care needs. One of Dawn's fabulous qualities that stands out is her ablility to make children feel comfortable and at ease during their visit to our office.

Modesta is our bilingual insurance coordinator. She is a certified Optometric Technician. Feel free to call if you need spanish speaking assistance or have any insurance or billing questions.

Debbie is our marketing expert! (A previous patient herself.)She currently works within the Madison School District and runs a Golf Promotions business too.

 Casey Reeve comes to us from MATC having recently graduated from the Optometric Technician Program. Casey is excited to be actively pursuing a career in optometry and looks forward to helping you with your eye care needs.
